At D.A.M. Construction, building isn’t just a profession—it’s a lifelong passion. As a one-man construction company, I take pride in personally handling every aspect of my projects. Coming from a long line of skilled craftsmen, I grew up on job sites, learning the trade firsthand from my family. By the age of 10, I had built my first fence, and by 14, I had framed an entire home. Those early experiences ignited a deep passion for construction, leading to over 30 years of hands-on experience in the industry.
I have personally been involved building over 100 homes from the ground up, mastering every phase of the process:
As a solo contractor, I bring a hands-on approach, ensuring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in every project. When you hire D.A.M. Construction, you’re hiring an experienced builder who personally sees the job through from start to finish.
Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats in the construction and project management world:
Beyond construction, I bring a lifelong dedication to the arts to every project. My Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from the University of Oregon focused on Wood-Fired Ceramic Pottery, a craft that requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of materials and form—skills that directly translate into my work as a carpenter and builder. Working with natural elements like clay and fire taught me the value of structural integrity, balance, and craftsmanship, which I apply to custom woodwork, trim installations, and detailed restorations in home construction.
In addition to pottery, I am an accomplished painter, sculptor, illustrator, and printmaker, specializing in Intaglio printmaking—a centuries-old technique that demands meticulous craftsmanship and attention to fine detail. These artistic disciplines have honed my ability to visualize, create, and execute intricate projects, whether it’s restoring historic millwork, creating custom built-ins, or integrating artistic elements into modern renovations.
During my time at Lane Community College, I expanded my creative skill set into the world of multimedia and animation, where I produced several short stop-motion animation films. Stop-motion, much like construction, is an art of precision, patience, and bringing elements together to create something dynamic and enduring. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship in motion—understanding how form, structure, and function interact over time, just as they do in homebuilding.
Whether I’m sculpting with clay, carving wood, or crafting a new living space, I bring an artist’s eye to every detail, ensuring that my work is as visually striking as it is structurally sound.
My love for camping, hiking, mountain biking, bouldering, snowboarding, and scuba diving has given me a profound respect for the natural world. As a professional scuba diver, I have witnessed first hand the delicate balance of ecosystems, making me highly aware of the environmental impacts of construction. This connection fuels my commitment to sustainable building practices—reducing waste, using responsibly sourced materials, and ensuring that every project is energy-efficient and environmentally conscious.
Understanding how human structures interact with nature allows me to make informed decisions about materials and designs that complement rather than compromise the environment. Whether it’s creating efficient outdoor living spaces, restoring historic homes with minimal waste, integrating eco-friendly solutions, or building a new space, I strive to ensure that D.A.M. Construction operates with a respect for both craftsmanship and conservation.
Just as nature provides a strong foundation for life, a home is the foundation of a family. I believe that homes are more than just buildings—they are the places where memories are made, traditions are passed down, and generations come together. This belief is what drives my passion for restoring and preserving not only historic homes like Craftsman, Victorian, and Mid-Century Modern, but also New Modern homes. Preserving & creating these spaces is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about maintaining a connection to the past while creating a space for future generations to grow.
With a passion for both the built and natural world, I take pride in creating spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but also respectful of the environment and the families who call them home.
Let’s build something great—sustainably, beautifully, and with family in mind.
